The Club Quarters is housed in the historic Mather Tower, which was built in 1928 and was once the city's tallest building. Its exterior boasts neo-gothic architecture, its elegant lobby has restored marble floors and brass gilding, and its hallways are adorned with black-and-white photography of Chicago architecture. The rooms are modest sized, at around 250 square feet with walnut furniture, encyclopedias, almanacs, and dictionaries. The Club Quarters - Wacker at Michigan is set on the Chicago River, one block from the Magnificent Mile and the NBC Tower. Security/access to the hotel is controlled 24 hours per day, and room keys are required in the elevators to access the guest rooms.
